While we recognize Jesus Christ as the head of the Church, we also recognize that in order to efficiently carry out our mission we must be organized.  At St. Peter we are led by our Pastor along with four governing boards.  The boards are as follows:

  • Church Council - The purpose of the Church Council is to represent and be accountable to the congregation in its oversight of the administrative; financial; and the maintenace of church property.
  • Diaconate -The purpose of the Diaconate is to give leadership & guidance to the spiritual life and nurture the members of the Congregation and elsewhere as needed.
  • Board of Christian Education - The purpose of the BCE is to give leadership and guidance with the pastor to a comprehensive educational plan for all members of the congregation, and provde resources and coordination of religious edication for the community is so far as possible.
  • Mission Board - The purpose of the Mission Board is to give leadership and guidance in the congregation’s mission of presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ to “all nations” (Matthew 28:19) through information on the needs of the people in all nations and the programs to serve them and encourage their support.  Also, to make recommendation to the church council as to the invested funds of the church, the income of which is used to , in part, fund some of the mission budget.
